Sainik School is a special school that is dedicatedly designed for students who want to serve the nation. The term Sainik is an Indian word that means soldiers. The school is established and managed by the Ministry of Defence and Sainik School Society. The reservation policy is maintained in Sainik School quite sincerely. 15% of the available seats are for the Schedule Caste and 7.5% of the seats are reserved for Schedule Tribe. 25% are specially reserved for the retired and serving personnel of defense. The rest of the seats are for general category.
